Kabayan, kumusta na? As you all know, our homeland had just experienced another fury from mother nature. As of press time, the nation’s capital and all it’s neigboring cities are still under “knee-deep water” - to say the least.

It is already redundant to describe in words the details of the tragedy – thanks to the world wide web. It is also redundant to ask you to reach-out and help in whatever means you can. Either your dear conscience or your poker buddies had already been telling you to do so since the days you saw video clips of the calamity in youtube or in your facebook. Nevertheless, however redundant it may seem, everyone needs to be reminded sometimes, and that sometimes is now. Let us ALL be ONE and help.

Community leaders and concern Fil-Ams in the Rio Grande Valley created an ad hoc relief outfit to collect donations of non-perishable items that can be sent to the victims in the Philippine. Cash is likewise accepted. Presently, collections has been made in some local churches. Asian Best Filipino Store and Grocery on N. 23rd st in Mcallen Texa is so far the drop-off point for clothing and food items. More drop-off point will be announced later
